"CROW MEDICINE"

Meaning of 'Crow Medicine'
Crows are amazing birds. They are highly social, very clever, and have the ability to communicate both verbally and non-verbally:

"Crows show..linguistic capabilities and the ability to relay information over great distances, [and] live in complex, hierarchic societies involving hundreds of individuals with various "occupations". One species, the New Caledonian Crow, has recently been intensively studied because of its ability to manufacture and use its own tools in the day-to-day search for food. Wild hooded crows in Israel have learned to use bread crumbs for bait-fishing. " Wikipedia.

The human-like characteristics of the Crow (social groupings, communication and resourcefulness) constitute the anthropomorphical aspect of 'Crow Medicine'.

Crows, however, have also been considered in Mythological terms to be the sentinels that sit at the 'Edge' (the edge of life and death, light and dark, waking state and dream state). They are able to live in both worlds, passing messages between the worlds.

This is one of the most fundamental aspects of "Crow Medicine"; bridging the gap between many different dualities...

    Jennifer Hayes aka" Jenn Moon Bear "is a ceremonialist, lodge-keeper & practitioner of Earth Medicine Ways. A Sacred pipe carrier apprenticed in the Sweet Medicine/Twisted Hair Society. Initiated as a priestess of the Sacred Earth Healing Temple (Seattle) Also initiated as an "Earth Mage" with Brooke Medicine Eagle and initiated into the Changing Woman Sisterhood/EarthWalk (Detroit).  Jenn is the lodge keeper for the Crow Lodge.
Jenn has been walking her path for 25 years learning and weaving indigenous teachings.
